Disney Dining – Be Our Guest

Our trip in August was our second time eating at Be Our Guest in Disney’s Magic Kingdom and needless to say, it did not disappoint!

This French-inspired restaurant has elaborately themed rooms that look like they’ve been taken straight out of the movie!

Be Our Guest Restaurant is located at the foot of Beast’s Castle in Fantasyland. They serve lunch and dinner, and a dining reservation is a must!

Be Our Guest offers 3 beautiful dining areas:

  • The Grand Ballroom – featuring a high, domed ceiling, chandeliers, and snow! (outside the windows, of course).
  • The West Wing – the Beast’s mysterious West Wing study, featuring the Enchanted Rose.
  • The Castle Gallery – Get swept up in the romance of Belle’s private library, and inspired by the larger-than-life figures of Belle and Beast dancing.

The West Wing

The West Wing has the portrait of The Beast that alternates between man and beast above the fireplace. This portrait change, along with the sound of thunder, occurs about every 20 minutes. This room is neat to see, but could be scary to younger kiddos. We enjoyed this room, but it is a darker atmosphere.

The Enchanted Rose is also in the West Wing. If you watch closely, you will see the petals begin to fall just like they do in the movie!

The Grand Ballroom

This dining location is the largest of the three. This regal ballroom features tall, domed ceilings and snow falling outside the large windows. We personally have not eaten in this location, but you walk through it to go off to the two wings connected to the ballroom. You can picture the Belle and Beast having their first dance together in this ballroom – magical!

The Castle Gallery

On our most recent trip, we ate in the Castle Gallery. This room has art hanging on the walls and a life-sized music box with Belle and the Beast in the center. The Beast makes his rounds in each of the three dining locations multiple times throughout your meal, so if you miss a chance to snap a photo, there will likely be another opportunity!

Let’s talk food!

The food both times I’ve eaten at Be Our Guest has been fantastic. I figured this would be one of those places that you pay for the “experience” and are served an okay-ish meal. I was pleasantly surprised and our whole group agreed that the food was great! This restaurant is one of the more expensive dining choices in the Magic Kingdom, at ~$60 per adult. But the quality of the food and amount you get for the price was worth it for a splurge meal! All meals are served with a drink (soft drinks, tea), appetizer, entree, and dessert. I was very appreciative of how accommodating they were to my gluten sensitivity and I even got to enjoy gluten free bread before my meal! If you or someone in your party has a food allergy, your server will ensure you have a meal that is safe.

Keep in mind that the menu may change slightly so use these delicious food pictures as reference only.

How can I eat here?!

A reservation is a MUST! There is rarely ever walk-up availability for this restaurant and reservations book out far in advance. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can book dining reservations for the full length of your stay starting 60-days from the first day of your trip! Booking opens up at about 5:45AM EST, but don’t worry! If you have a Travel Agent specializing in Disney vacations (hello!) they can help you snag that reservation or look for openings if they are all booked up.

“And now we invite you to relax, let us pull up a chair as the dining room proudly presents – your dinner!”
